A Brazilian man known for his extreme body modifications—and self-declared mission to look “less human”—has taken his transformation a step further by having two more fingers removed to achieve a claw-like hand inspired by extraterrestrials.
Diabao Praddo, a 50-year-old tattoo artist from Praia Grande, Brazil, shocked his online followers after posting images of his latest body alteration: the removal of his middle and index fingers on his left hand. The only digits remaining are now his thumb and two fingers, creating a distinct, claw-like appearance.
Praddo, whose legal name was once Michel before he changed it to “Diabao” (Portuguese for “Devil”), is no stranger to pushing physical boundaries. He previously had his ring and pinky fingers amputated from his right hand to match the alien-inspired aesthetic.
“Done,” he simply wrote on social media following his March 1 procedure—an operation he reportedly arranged and underwent voluntarily.
Though he admitted to initially hesitating, fearing the surgeries could compromise his tattooing abilities, Praddo said he’s learned to adapt. “It was hard at first, but I quickly got back to tattooing almost as usual,” he explained. Still, he said phantom pain and the sensation of missing fingers occasionally interfere with everyday tasks.
The heavily inked body artist has undergone more than 100 separate procedures in his decades-long transformation. Among them: slicing his tongue in two, tattooing nearly 85% of his body, surgically removing his ears and nose, and even amputating a nipple—which he later claimed to have eaten.
His efforts have earned him a place in the Guinness World Records. In 2023, Praddo secured the world record for having the highest number of subdermal horn implants on a human head, with an astonishing total of 33. He surpassed the previous titleholder, who had 18.
Praddo described the experience as both surreal and deeply emotional after making the trip to Milan, Italy, where his Guinness World Record was officially confirmed on the TV show Lo Show Dei Record. “I cried as I thought about my journey—this has been a lifelong dream.”
But the self-styled “Human Satan” isn’t done yet.
He says his ultimate goal is to claim the title of the world’s most modified individual—an achievement he’s steadily working toward, one dramatic change at a time. Helping him along the way is his wife of over a decade, Carol Praddo, who is also deeply immersed in body modification and known online as “Demon Woman.”
Carol, an experienced body modifier herself, has overseen many of Diabao’s transformations. He calls her his “masterpiece creator” and says their shared passion for blackwork and brutal-style tattoos is what brought them together.
Despite the risks—including pain, infection, and long-term medical complications—Praddo remains committed to his mission. “Pain doesn’t bother me,” he said. “The hardest part is recovery. But if pain is the price for becoming who I want to be, I’ll pay it.”
